Dr. Huy “Alan” Vu is a proud TarHeel! He received his Bachelor of Science with Distinction and his Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Vu loves sports, especially soccer and you can find him on the fields in local leagues on the weekends. He also enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Hailey. They have two boys and two girls who keep them both super busy!
Dr. Vu’s practice philosophy is to treat every patient as if he or she were a member of his family by carefully explaining treatment options and delivering gentle high-quality care in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Elliott Burns
Early Life and Education
Dr. Elliott Burns, a proud native of North Carolina, found his calling in dentistry through a high school career placement test that pointed him toward the profession. Inspired by his father, a dentist, Dr. Burns pursued his passion for oral health and began his educational journey at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He then continued his studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and became friends with Dr. Alan Vu.
Professional Career
Since starting to practice in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2012, Dr. Burns has immersed himself in general dentistry, with a particular focus on restorative dentistry and orthodontics. He is dedicated to improving his patients’ smiles and helping them overcome their fears of dental procedures.
Personal Life
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Burns is married to Sarah, a teacher in Charlotte, and father to his son Parker (2019) and daughter Lainey (2021). He cherishes quality time with his family and thrives on traveling with his crew to explore new places. He enjoys running, golfing, skiing (water and snow), biking, and hiking, often seeking new adventures in nature. His love for the outdoors extends to tackling home improvement projects, where he channels his creativity and skill into crafting functional and beautiful spaces around his house.
