What are Orthodontics?
Orthodontic treatment is designed to realign and correct the look of your smile using either traditional metal braces or clear aligners such as Invisalign.
Regardless of your age, it’s never too late to start loving how you look. We customize each patient’s treatment plan so that you receive the care specific to your needs. Our goal is to make orthodontics as affordable and easy for you as possible.
Why would Orthodontic treatment be needed?
There are a couple of problems that come with having crooked or crowded teeth. The first issue is that your self – esteem can be impacted, and you might avoid smiling because of the way that you look. Another big problem is that it might be difficult or even impossible for you to completely clean and floss your teeth. This can lead to areas of tooth decay, gingivitis and even gum disease.
I’ve been a loyal customer for over 15 years. It’s always felt like family here. From child, to teen with braces to an adult, they’ve consistently been wonderful. Friendly greeting, quick service and extremely knowledgeable which is helpful for someone who’s curious like me, haha! I can’t recommend this dentist office enough. Though I moved away, I still travel back to this office for care. They even recommended a better retainer for me than my orthodontist to help me protect my teeth from my grinding at night! Excited to get it. They’re incredible, can’t imagine going anywhere else!
Who is a good candidate for Orthodontics?
We will examine your teeth to determine if and when you’d benefit the most from orthodontic treatment. There is no right age when it comes to having the work done. For parents, it’s a good idea to bring children in for their first orthodontic consultation around the time they are seven to nine years old. For adults, it’s never too late to start loving how your smile looks.
What happens during Orthodontic treatment?
First and foremost, we will perform an examination, take x – rays and provide you with a consultation. We will discuss orthodontic options available to you so that you can choose what works best for your needs and budget. We will work closely with you when it comes to choosing the system that is right for your smile goals. You can then expect to come in regularly to have adjustments or new aligners made over the course of treatment. Your treatment can take anywhere from just a few months to about two to three years depending on what type of work is needed.
